Hey, there sports fans! Have you heard about the latest debut in college baseball? Kade Reynolds, the new pitcher for Wharton County Junior College, made his first official appearance on January 31st, 2023 against the Baton Rouge Community College Bears.
Now, the Pioneers were behind 12-8 when Reynolds entered the game in the top of the 7th inning. But don’t worry, he didn’t disappoint! Even though the first batter hit a double off his second pitch, Reynolds quickly regained control of the inning.
He faced four batters in total and struck out one, retiring the side in just 8 pitches! How impressive is that? He only gave up one unearned run in his initial outing.
Unfortunately, the WCJC Pioneers lost to the Baton Rouge Bears 22-16. But Reynolds’ performance was still a bright spot in the game. We can’t wait to see more of his skills and talent on the field in the coming games.
So let’s keep our hopes high and root for the Pioneers and Reynolds in their upcoming games. Who knows what kind of exciting moments we’ll witness on the baseball diamond? Let’s go, Pioneers!
